COMMEMORATIVE CHERRY TREES

As the final part of our Heritage Lottery Funded projects, ten cherry trees were planted either side of the Abberton Road approach to the village in autumn 2016 to commemorate the nine village men that gave their lives in World War I, plus the one man in World War II.

These photos show the first  (of how many?) spring’s blossom.  Just 6 feet height at the moment – another 25 feet or so to go.
